At the florists you can see many beautiful tropical plants there but don not worry if they do not look as leafy and luscious as on the pictures you have seen. It is normal, that they grow bigger in their natural habitat no matter how well you take care of them. 

In wild nature, the most characterizing word for tropical plants would indeed be luscious. Scientists estimate that the biggest rainforest on Earth contains about 900 tons of living plants per a single hectare. It includes 750 types of trees and 1500 other plants. It is difficult for us to even try to imagine such variety when we have some 5 types of tropical plants in our nearest flower shop.

Nowadays people mostly choose orchids to grow at home. Indeed, the variety of colors and different types is as typical for a tropical plant as it can be.

Still, as beautiful as these plants are, people destroy many hectares of tropical rainforests every day and as a ad fact, it will never be possible to restore these forests as they evolve very slowly and there are relations between every species and most of them are the ones we do not know nothing about.
