Plant Shade

If you have some half- hardy plants, it is recommendable to study some facts about plant shade before bringing them inside for the winter.

The most important thing to notice is that you would not change living conditions too rapidly. At first move your plant into a shady part of your nursery, for an example under a tree. Only then you can bring them inside to hibernate. When bringing it inside try to reproduce its natural habitat as much as you can, but it is also important to remember that most plants need a bit colder environment, an do not need so much light during winter season It is necessary for them to rest and recover.

After winter, if you want to move your plant outside again, you should redo the whole process again only vice versa. If you rapidly take it outside, it is not yet used to so bright light and may burn in direct sunlight. If you take it outside, remember to water it at first the way you did, when it was inside the house.

Although it may seem rather complicated to move your plant twice a year, it is worth it. You have the chance to see it growing every day of the year and your plant would be grateful to you for your care.
