i am on my 6th tropacal palm plant. i love them. however,they last a mere 1-2 months then they yellow or brown, dry out, shortly after they die.

the6 ft palm(s) are placed in front of a non drafty sunny windows x2. i usually water once a week and i plant my house plants in miracle grow soil for house plants. please let me know what i am doing wrong. my current 7ft. palm that i purchased at my grocery store arrived home large ,green and healthy looking. it is in the same spot the others have been. it has some dried leafing along with brown or dark spots on leafs, with fading green in majority of outer leafs, inner ones still look healthy. please help before i kill another one! thank you .
